Step I. Prepare your Old Gmail Account

- โkeep Gmailโs copy in the inboxโ leaves the original emails untouched in your old account.
- โmark Gmail’s copy as readโ keeps your original emails while marking them as read.
- โarchive Gmailโs copyโ archives the original emails in your old account.
- โdelete Gmailโs copyโ will delete all the emails from old account.
6.Select the required option and click on โSave changesโ.

Step II. Move Emails from Old Gmail Account to New
Once you have all your old emails, you need to move them to the new account. For this, you will need to login to your new account.
1.Logout from your old account and login to your new account.
2.Click on the gear icon on the top right corner of the page and select Settings.
3.Click on the โAccounts and Importโ tab.
4.In the โCheck emails from other accountโ block, click on โAdd an email accountโ.
5.On the new window, type your old Gmail address and click on โNextโ.
6.Select โImport emails from my other account (POP3)โ and click on โNextโ.
7.After verifying your old address, type your old account password.
8.Select โpop.gmail.comโ from โPOP serverโ drop-down and select โPortโ as 995.
9.Make sure that โLeave a copy of retrieved messages on the serverโ is not checked and check โAlways use a secure connection (SSL) when retrieving mailโ.
10.Decide the label of the imported emails and choose if you want to import them in your inbox or archive them to avoid the mess.
11.Finally, click on โAdd Accountโ.
12.It is possible that the server denies access at this step. This might happen in the following two cases, if your old account does not allow access to less secure apps or if you have two-step verification enabled. To allow less secure apps to access your account,
- Go to your Google account.
- Click on security tab from the left pane.
- Scroll down to โLess secure app accessโ and turn it on.
13.You will be asked if you want to reply to the transferred emails as your old email address or your new email address itself. Select accordingly and click on โNextโ.
14.If you choose โYesโ, you will have to set up the alias email details. When you set up an alias email, you can choose which address to send from (your current address or the alias address). Recipients see that the mail came from whichever address you choose. Continue doing the following steps for this.
15.Enter the required details and select โTreat as aliasโ.
16.Click on โSend Verificationโ. Now, you will have to enter the verification code in the prompt. An email with verification code will be sent to your old Gmail account.
17.Now, leave this prompt as it is and login to your old Gmail account in the Incognito Window. Open the verification email received and copy the verification code.
18.Now, paste this code in the previous prompt and verify.
19.Your Gmail account will be recognized.
20.All your emails will be transferred.

Step III. Stop Transfer of Other Emails
