Having trouble managing your Discord server due to a large number of members? If so, you can establish specific role categories to efficiently organize the server and assist members in identifying relevant roles with ease. So, whether you’re an administrator or a server owner, let’s find out how to create role categories in Discord and make your server operate smoothly.
How to Make Role Categories in Discord
In Discord, roles function as profiles you can assign to your server members. They establish a hierarchy among your members.
For instance, if your server has 8 members, you usually need one person (you) as the owner to manage the group, along with two moderators to maintain appropriate conversations, leaving the other members. Each participant needs different abilities and permissions in order to differentiate these roles.

1. Launch the Discord app on your phone.
2. Tap on the three-dotted icon next to your server name.
