Method 1: Activate Missed Call Alerts

Network providers such as Airtel and Vodafone provide missed call alert services that send an SMS telling their users who called them when their phone was switched off.

You can dial any of these two common codes *321*800# or **62*1431# on your phone to activate missed call alerts.

Once dialed, you’ll receive a message on the screen asking for a reply to see your missed calls. Perform the required action for the same.

Method 2: Enable Missed Call Notifications

Whether it’s a Samsung phone or from any other brand, you can get notifications for missed calls that might have occurred when your phone was switched off.

1. Open Settings on your device, and tap on Notifications.

2. Tap on App notifications, then on the three dots icon at the top-right corner, and select Show system apps.

3. Scroll down and tap on the Phone calls option, followed by Notification categories.

You can also use Truecaller to see for the missed calls on your phone but remember that it only works when your mobile data is turned on.

Here’s how you can set Missed Calls alert service on Airtel and Vodafone to see them when your phone is switched off.

Note: Airtel and Vodafone services are available in India only.

Option 1: On Airtel

Dial *321*881# or 321*883# on your dial pad to activate the missed call alert on your phone.

You can also use the Airtel Thanks app.

1. Open the Airtel Thanks app, tap on the profile icon at the top left corner, and select settings.

2. Under NETWORK & BROADBAND, turn on the toggle for missed call alerts.

Once activated, you’ll get an SMS when you turn your phone back on with the details of who called you and when. 

Option 2: On Vodafone

Here’s how to see missed calls on Vodafone when your phone is off:

1. Open the SMS app on your phone, type ACT MCI, and send it to 54300.

2. Reply by sending 1 or follow the instructions given and the alert service will be activated.

Yes, when your phone is on Airplane mode, it is disconnected from the network.
