How to Tag Everyone in a Facebook Group

Facebook groups have become a very popular way for people to connect over shared interests. One great feature that Facebook has for group admins and moderators is the ability to tag everyone in the group with the @everyone mention. This allows you to get the attention of all group members at once for important announcements.

How to Tag Everyone in a Facebook Group on PC

The ability to tag everyone is currently limited only to admins and moderators. So, group members do not have this ability right now.

1. Log into Facebook and navigate to your group.
2. Click on Write Something… to create a new post.
3. In the post/comment body, type @everyone.
4. Facebook will populate an option to Tag Everyone. Click on it.
5. Complete your post/comment and click on Post.

Now when you publish the post or comment, every single member of the group will receive a notification that they have been tagged along with the content of your post/comment.

How to Tag Everyone in a Facebook Group on Mobile

Note: Below given steps below are performed on an Android device but the steps are more or less the same for iOS devices.

1. Open the Facebook app and navigate to the group you want to tag everyone in.
2. Tap on the Write something… box to create a new post or tap the comment box under an existing post.
3. In the text field, type @everyone.
4. Facebook will suggest Tag Everyone as an option. Select it.
5. Complete your post or comment and tap on POST.

How to Tag Everyone in a Facebook Group Without Being Spammy

1. Be an admin.
2. Tag everyone only for important announcements.
3. Let your group members know your plan to start using everyone’s tag.
4. Ensure that the content you’re sharing is relevant to all members.
5. Avoid tagging everyone very early in the morning or late at night.
6. You can also inform members how they can disable being tagged if they don’t wish to.
7. Lastly, try not to use everyone’s tag more than once in 24 hours.

How Can Members Disable Being Tagged in Everyone Tag

1. Open the Facebook app and tap the three horizontal lines to open the Facebook menu.
2. Select Settings & Privacy. Next, go to Settings.
3. Go to Notifications and select Tags.
4. Disable the Batch mentions option.
