How to Download Facebook Messages
Option 1: On Desktop
Follow the steps mentioned below to download Facebook messages on your PC:
- Open Facebook and click on your profile picture at the top right corner.
- Click on Settings & Privacy and then on Settings.
- Click on Accounts Center followed by Your information and permissions.
- Click on Download your information and then on Download or transfer information.
- Click on Specific types of information.
- Select Messages and click on Next.
- Select Download to device and click on Next again.
- Click on Notify, enter your email address, and click on Save.
- Select the date range and other information.
- Click on Create files.
Note: Once downloaded; you’ll receive a notification in your mail.
Option 2: On Android
- Open the Facebook app and navigate to the Settings menu.
- Tap on Accounts Center.
- Tap on Your information and permissions, followed by Download your information.
- Now, tap on Download or transfer information.
- Tap on Specific types of information.
- Select Messages and tap on Next.
- Select Download to device and tap on Next.
- Tap on Notify and enter an email address.
- Go back, select the date range and other information, and tap on Create files.
Option 3: On iOS (iPhone and iPad)
You can follow the same steps to download Facebook messages on iOS as on Android.
