Method 1: Create Windows 10 Account using existing Gmail Address

1.Press Windows Key + I to open Settings then click on the Accounts option.

5.In the next window, type your existing Gmail address and also provide a strong password which should be different than your Google account password.

8.Enter your current or local user account password or leave the field blank in case you didn’t set up a password for your account and then click Next.

9.On the next screen, you can either choose to set up a PIN to sign in to Windows 10 instead of using your password or you can skip this step.

10.In case you want to set up the PIN, simply click the “Set a PIN” button & follow the on-screen instructions but if you want to skip this step then click on the “Skip this step” link.

11.Now before you can use this new Microsoft account, you first need to verify this Microsoft User Account by clicking on the Verify Link.

12.Once you click on the Verify link, you will receive a confirmation code from Microsoft to your Gmail account.

13.You need to login to your Gmail Account and copy the confirmation code.

Method 2: Create a New Account

If you are opening your computer for the first time or you have done a clean installation of Windows 10 (wiping all the data of your computer) then you need to need to create a Microsoft account and set up a new password. But don’t worry in this case also you can use a non-Microsoft email to set up your Microsoft account.

1.Power on your Windows 10 computer by pressing the Power button.

2.To continue, simply follow the on-screen instructions until you see the “Sign in with Microsoft” screen.
