Yes. Cash App can be used as a payment option for customers on Shopify. Shopify allows merchants to accept payments through various payment gateways, and Cash App is one of them. With the integration of this payment service on your Shopify store, your customers can easily make payments using their account balance, linked bank account, or debit card. This can provide a convenient payment option for your customers who prefer to use Cash App for online purchases.
One of our reader James, have pointed out that to use Cash app as a payment method, you need to manually add it as a payment option. However, the issue with this method is that the order will not proceed until you confirm the payment yourself. There is no automatic process involved.
Note: Cash App is only available in the US or UK.
It is worth noting that:
- The Cash App is a popular payment option, but it may not be suitable for all merchants or customers. Cash App is primarily used in the United States, and therefore, may not be a viable option for merchants with an international customer base.

This article is very inaccurate Pete.
There is NO Cash App payment method available. The only way to currently add it on is to enter a manual payment method. Then the order sits waiting for you to confirm payment. There is zero automation here. The idiots at Shopify have not updated the payment gateways to accept the Cash App. I just spent 2 hours conversing with them on this topic.
