Method 1: Via Keyboard Shortcut for Print Screen

The quickest way to take a screenshot of your Windows 11 PC is by pressing the PrtSc or PrtScrn button simultaneously from your keyboard. A screenshot window will open and you can drag your mouse to select any area you will to capture.

Method 2: Via Windows + Print Screen Keys

You can also screenshot the entire screen and save it directly as an image. For this, press the Windows + PrtSc or Windows + Shift + S keys together.

Method 3: Via Alt + PrtSc Keys

You may not always want the entire screen as a screenshot, but only one program window. Press the Alt + PrtScn keys to only capture an active window and copy it to your clipboard.

  1. Open the Search bar and type in Snipping Tool.
  2. Select the option from your choice from the right menu.
  3. Wait for the screenshot window to automatically open.
  4. Select the desired snip type from rectangular, freeform, window, or full-screen.
  5. Hold and drag to select the area you want to capture.
