Discord opens up the door to a wide range of possibilities for users, especially content creators with its simple streaming solution. In order to stream Google Chrome on Discord, you will have to add it as a game.

Follow the steps below:

1. Open Discord on your PC.
2. On Discord, you can only stream via a voice channel.
3. Navigate to the desired voice channel in your server that you have permission to share the screen in.
4. Click on the gear icon at the bottom in the left panel to open the User Settings menu.
5. Scroll down to ACTIVITY SETTINGS in the left panel and click on Registered Games.
6. On the right pane, click on Add it!
7. Select Google Chrome from the drop-down menu and click on Add Game.
8. Go back to your server and click on the Screen Share icon next to Google Chrome on the bottom of the left panel.
9. Choose the voice channel under SELECT A VOICE CHANNEL and click on Go Live.

Method 1: Remove Mute or Deafen (If Enabled)

Check if the server you are streaming Google Chrome from is on mute or deafened. If so, disable it for the sound to be audible to other members.

1. See the Microphone and Headphone icon next to your server’s name.
   If they are red-marked with a slash on them, that means your server is mute and deafened.
2. Click on them to turn on your Microphone as well as Undeafen your server.

Method 2: Select the Correct Input and Output Device

If you are unable to hear any sound during the stream, check if the input and output devices are correctly set. Especially if you are using a headset or external audio device.

1. Open Discord and go to your server.
2. Click on the Settings (gear icon) to open the USER SETTINGS menu.
3. Under APP SETTINGS, click on Voice & Video.
4. Check and set the INPUT DEVICE and OUTPUT DEVICE as required.
5. Also, make sure the INPUT VOLUME and OUTPUT VOLUME are set to optimal levels.

Method 3: Reset Voice Settings

If the selected Input and Output devices on Discord are correct, still are unable to hear sound on Discord when you stream Google Chrome, try resetting voice settings.

1. In the USER SETTINGS menu on Discord, click on Voice and Video.
2. Scroll down towards the end on the right pane and click on Reset Voice Settings.
3. Click on Okay to confirm.
4. Wait until Discord applies the settings and restarts.
5. Go to the USER SETTINGS menu now, and click on Voice and Video.
6. Select Voice Activity under INPUT MODE.

Method 4: Set Discord Audio Subsystem to Legacy

If your hardware is not compatible with Discord’s latest audio system, you have issues hearing sound during a stream. Here’s how you can change it:

1. Open Discord, go to the USER SETTINGS menu, and click on Voice and Video.
2. Expand the drop-down menu for AUDIO SUBSYSTEM and select Legacy from the options.
3. Click on Okay in the prompt.
4. Discord will restart now. Once launched, start the stream again and see if the sound issue is resolved.
