Step 1: Allow Access to Your Device’s Camera Roll

If Snapchat does not already have permission to access photos and videos on the device, follow the steps to allow it:

Now is the time to share snaps from the camera roll as a streak. For this, you would need to use a filter. Follow the steps below:

1. Open Snapchat and tap on the Magnifier icon at the bottom center.

2. Search for the Camera Roll Upload filter and select the one shown in the image.

4. Select the image you want to share and tap on the colored circle icon in the center.

5. Tap Next and choose the person you want to send the snap to.

Do Snaps from Camera Roll Count as Streaks?

No. Unfortunately, snaps from the camera roll don’t count towards streaks. Snapstreaks are maintained by sending Snaps directly to each other within a 24-hour window. It requires sending pictures clicked instantly using the app’s built-in camera.
