How to Reset Display Settings in Windows 10
Although there is no option to fully reset your display settings with one click, you can always choose to restore them to normal by selecting them one by one.
1. Open Settings, click on System and select Personalization.
2. Click on Themes and select Windows 10 or Windows (light) under Change theme.
3. Select Colors from the left menu and select Default blue under Windows color.
4. Now, go back to the System settings page, click on Display, and turn off the toggle for Night light.
5. Under Scale and layout, expand the drop-down menu for Change the size of texts, apps, and other items, and select 100% (Recommended).
6. Click on Display resolution and select 1366 x 768 (Recommended), then Display orientation and select Landscape.
7. Now, go to the main Settings page and select Ease of Access.
8. Under Make everything bigger, click on Change the size of apps and text on the main display and select 100% (Recommended).
9. Now, click on High contrast on the left menu and turn the toggle off for Turn on high contrast.
10. Click on Magnifier and turn the toggle off for Turn on Magnifier.
11. Finally, click on the Notification section in the taskbar and turn off Tablet mode.
This way all your display settings will be reset back to their default mode.
When is it the Time to Reset Display Settings in Windows 10?
If you are facing some display issues like the ones mentioned below, it may be necessary to reset your settings back to default:
