However, just like any other software, it also has its trials and tribulations. Occasionally, the platform throws a curveball 3003 our way. Now the question arises, what is Zoom Error Code 3003, and how to fix it on a PC? Let’s find out!

How to Fix Zoom Error 3003 on PC

Error 3003 on Zoom pops up when there’s confusion between hosts. It typically occurs when a participant tries to join a meeting using a link not from the meeting’s primary host. Okay, let us explain in detail.

Zoom allows multiple hosts for a session, one being the primary host who initiates the call while others are referred to as co-hosts. In a meeting, the primary host can assign participants to be co-hosts. Every time a co-host is added, a new link is created. Such links are supposed to be used only by co-hosts and not by the members. So, when other participants try to join the meeting using the link created for co-hosts, Error 3003 not meeting host appears on Zoom. It indicates that the participant is not recognized as the primary host.

Sometimes the error code 3003 also appears on Zoom while you schedule, edit, or cancel the meeting on behalf of someone who has assigned you the scheduling privileges.

Now that we know the primary cause behind the error, let’s see how to fix it!

Method 1: Reconstruct Link Format

As we already know, the modified link is the actual culprit here. So, let’s reconstruct the link and you can try to join the meeting using that. For example, usual Zoom meetings follow a general format as http://iu.Zoom.us/meeting/(meeting number). Now, all you need to do is copy the link, paste it on any text field, and then replace meeting with j. The new link should look something like this: http://iu.Zoom.us/j / (meeting number). Click on it and see if you can join the meeting.

Method 2: Ask Primary Host to Share Link

If modifying the link does not let you join the meeting, it’s better to ask the primary host to share the original link. Once they send the link, you can click on it and join the meeting.

Method 3: Request Host to Start a New Meeting

Now for some reason, if you are still not able to access the meeting, ask them to start a new meeting. While it might be a feasible option for everyone, if it is for you, go for it.
