It basically means the data Facebook gathers about how you interact with ads on Facebook’s own sites and apps as well as on sites and apps that Facebook does not own. This information has:
- The ads you’ve seen or clicked on.
- The websites and apps you’ve used that shared your activity with Facebook for advertising reasons.
- The topics and interests Facebook has guessed about you based on how you use the internet.
Facebook uses this information about your ad activity to learn more about your interests and show you more relevant ads. This can make it easier to find goods or services you might be interested in.
However, it also means that Facebook is always tracking your activity, which a lot of users find annoying.
How to Delete Recent Ad Activity on Facebook Android
- Open the Facebook app then tap on the three horizontal lines.
- Scroll down and tap on Settings & Privacy, then select Settings.
- Tap on Ad preferences and again, tap on Ad preferences.
- Tap on Recent ad activity. Here you’ll see the Recent Ads. Tap on Remove to delete your recent ad activity history.
- Tap Remove again to delete your recent ad activity data from Facebook permanently.
Remember that even if you delete your recent ad activity post, Facebook will still be able to collect new information about how you interact with ads in the future. It only deletes the information that is already in your account.

How to Limit Future Ad Activity Tracking on Facebook

- Tap on Recent ad activity followed by Ad settings.
- Now tap on Audience-based advertising.
- Select companies that have uploaded lists with your information for ad-targeting purposes.
- Tap on You may have interacted with their website, app, or store option.
- Finally select Hide all ads from this advertiser.
