How to Browse Bluesky Without Account

Among all other features and changes including the new Butterfly logo for Bluesky, last week, Jay Graber, its CEO announced through a blog post that:

We built Bluesky to be a home for public conversation — breaking news, commentary and analysis, jokes and more. And we’re taking one step closer to this goal by releasing a public web view, which means that you don’t have to be logged in to view posts on Bluesky.

Starting today, you can easily view Bluesky posts without being logged in. Sharing will be more convenient — whether it’s a joke you want to text a friend, or a post you want to embed in an article.

This means, you can now share content with people who do not have an account on Bluesky and they can view it. Or even if you do not have a Bluesky account registered yet, you can still browse through it. All you would need is to know the particular profile name to navigate to their handle and see all posts or have a direct link to any particular post.

Third-Party Portals to Browse Bluesky Without Login

Now if you do not have the posts’ link and still want to view it on Bluesky, there are some third-party portals that can help you with the same.

  • Skyview: This web app offers a simple interface to browse Bluesky posts, threads, and profiles without logging in. You can search by username or hashtag and explore trending content.

  • Heyfolks (for both iOS/Android): It lets you browse Bluesky feeds, follow profiles, and even see replies to posts – all anonymously. It also suggests interesting accounts to follow based on your browsing activity.

Use the search bar in your chosen platform to find specific users or discussions by their handle or topic tag.

  • Each platform displays trending posts and threads, offering a snapshot of the current conversations on Bluesky.
  • Though you won’t be able to see private content, you can still follow profiles and their public posts.
