Screen pinning is another such way to do the same: 

1. Open the Settings app then tap on Security.
2. Tap on Screen pinning and enable the Screen pinning option.
3. Turn the toggle on for Lock the device when unpinning or Ask for PIN before unpinning.
4. Now, tap on the Overview button then tap on the app you want to pin.
5. Tap on Pin.
