  2. You saved me! September 2019 and the Microsoft update and subsequent patch which disabled WiFi also removed the icon. Nothing worked (uninstall patch, dusable/enable NIC etc) but following the steps here to enable the network services (RPC etc) is what worked, and the WiFi icon
    returned and WiFi networks appeared. Thanks, great in-depth article, a huge help.

  3. Not a single one of those methods worked for me. And even if I tried Method 8 over and over, because it worked ONE time, I still get the warning yellow icon despite downloading the latest driver update from Intel. I even had to reset my computer thinking that the factory version would get things back to normal, but no. Even going through System Restore points didn’t help, like wtf is wrong?
