How do i check the motherboard and processor for errors in windows 10
I’m having this problem for the last couple of months (System reboots randomly) in Windows 10 1903. I think it may be a hardware problem, but I can’t find out where. I’ve gone through all of these steps to know avail. I’m running a Gigabyte GA-970A-DS3P FX witha AMD FX 8 core cpu.
I sure could use some help!!
For me, replacing a PSU solved the problem!
I have had this issue as well. My system specs are:
AMD A8-7650k,
Gigabyte F2A68HM-S1
Kingston HyperX 1866 12gb
rx 550
Win 10
I have tried all the possible solutions above (except BIOS update) and none have worked. I have read other forums and somehow this is common with old AMD chips (Not the Ryzen ones as far as I’m aware). So its safe to say that its a glitch with Win 10. However after I tried setting specific cpu clock speeds (3.3ghz default) within the bios my computer restarted once (maybe acknowledging the setting) and after that no more restarts. I can’t say for sure that this is the fix you’re looking for but it’s worth a shot (do it at your own risk).
Dale Caron, I have the same motherboard and same CPU (FX 8350) and I am experiencing random restarts sometimes as soon as 5 minutes and sometimes after about 30 minutes but I can pretty much never have it run without restarting for any longer than that. Every once in many many restarts I will get a blue screen that says corrupted BIOS and to boot from the back up UEFI (or something like that) and I simply click ok and it loads the backup and boots then it’s back to random restarting. At one point my computer would not display anything and it also would not force shut off from the power button. I had to pull out the plug. To get my computer to display again, I took my computer apart and put it back together again and removed the motherboard battery and held the power button for 1 minute with the battery out. Not sure what else to do.
been using the system from 2012 .. not a problem from win7 update to win 10..up until 1803 updates and its started till now 1909….keep on randomly restart…even downgrade my rams ..
change PSU ..flashing bios .. what else .. pull out every hdd drive .. upgrade to SSD .. running on one ssd .. reformat reinstall windows ….
recently tried install ubuntu 18.04 …. system reboot random .. so might not be windows or mabe windows mbr setup?? geez….giving up now .. hahahah ..
system : core i7 2600 @3.40ghz
mb : GA-z68AP-D3
base 64bits
zotac 1050ti – upgrade last time
I’m having the same issues which includes automatic restart after 5 minutes even sometimes it restarts after 30 minutes. I’m not sure what actually causing the restart. I pretty much tried everything i read on the internet but nothing fixes the issue. Please help me to solve the issue.
Hey did you find a solution?
Pretty certain it is a hardware failure, I am running a x570 aorus pro motherboard with a ryzen 5 5600X and 32gb of 3600mhz ddr4 ram. I also have an old gtx1650 super. Just built this a day ago and my pc was restarting like mad. Just sent it in to a technician
You’re overclocking your CPU’s memory controller if you’re running your RAM at its specified speed. 3200 MT/s is the recommended maximum for Zen 3.
Did you run MemTest86+?
i had the same problem it re started randomly try to clean your computer case if you have lot of dust it can make a problem. for me it worked out i don’t have the problem now
