Riverside X Spotify Integration: Create Video Podcasts and Publish via Anchor
Riverside has been the go-to podcast recording software for many creators out there and Anchor by Spotify partnered with them in 2022.
Since then, it has been much easier to create and publish video podcasts on the music streaming platform.
Pre-Requisites: Anchor should be your video hosting platform and you should use Riverside to completely edit & produce the episode, even the intro and outro.
1. Log in to your Riverside account or create an account if you haven’t already.
2. Click on Create a new (reusable) studio, enter Studio Title and Recording Type, and click on Set up studio for later.
3. Now, click on Go to Studio for the one you created to enter it.
4. Select your equipment in the Green room, choose whether you are using headphones or not, and then click on Join Studio.
5. Click on Record to start recording whenever you are ready.
Note: You need to insert the intro and outro using Riverside’s Media board to publish it directly on Spotify. Click on the Media option at the top-right corner, and select the Live button at the bottom left.
6. Once done, click on Stop.
7. After the upload is complete, go to Studio and click on View recordings to see all the recorded clips.
8. Choose your clip and click on Go to Editor at the top-right corner.
9. Here you can trim the beginning or end of the recording if needed, select the video aspect ratios, add the background, and insert your logo.
10. Once your video is ready, click on Export at the top right corner of the screen.
11. Turn the toggle on for Normalize Audio Levels and Remove background noise, and then click on Export again.
12. Click on Back to dashboard in the pop-up to finally export the video.
13. Select the final video in the dashboard, click the Spotify icon at the bottom right corner, and then on the Let’s go option in the pop-up window.
14. Now, sign up or log in to your Anchor account and click on Confirm to select the right podcast.
15. Fill out the Episode title, Episode description, and all other details required, and then click on Publish now.

How to Create Video Podcasts Directly on Spotify Using Riverside and Publish Them
With the recent expansion of Spotify’s partnership with Riverside, some of the tools such as the Music + Talk one were removed.
But the good part is that you can now record and edit your audio-video podcasts with Riverside right within Spotify for Podcasters. Be it financial podcasts or motivational ones.
1. Log into your Spotify for Podcasters account and click on the New Episode option.
2. Under Need to build an episode? click on Create with Riverside.
3. Click on Let’s Go and log into Riverside with your Spotify account.
4. Hover your cursor on Record episode and select either Record video & audio or Record audio only.
5. Invite your Guest to join using the link and once they have joined, click on Record.
6. When done, stop the recording, select the clip from the bottom left, and click on Edit recording.
You can edit your video as required, change the layout, add captions, and even use Magic AI Tools to remove background noise.
7. After completion, click on Export at the top-right corner, and select Export to Spotify from the drop-down menu.
8. Enter all required episode details, add monetization if available, and click on Publish.

On What Browser Does Riverside.fm Work?
On PCS, the Riverside local recording engine is only compatible with Chrome and Edge. Currently, mobile and tablet browsers are not supported by Riverside.
You must download the Riverside app from the Google Play Store to use it on an Android device or from the App Store to use it on any iOS device.
