1. Download GnuWin WGET from here. The download process will start and finish automatically in a few seconds.

4. To install WGET for Windows, click on Next, as depicted below.

Once you install WGET for Windows 10, ensure that the wget.exe folder exists in the path given in this method.

1. Press Windows + E keys simultaneously to open File Explorer.

2. Navigate to C:\Program Files (x86)\GnuWin32\bin and copy the location.

Method 2: Add Environment Variable

  1. WGET 1.21.3 (from eternallybored) issue with downloading files from web servers with spaces in name:

    e.g. yodeler.com/folders have spaces/bestsongontheinternet.mp3

    if there are a bunch of files in the /folders have spaces/

    then

    wget -i filelist.txt

    fails on windows when you try to list all those file names with the fully qualified URL in a file (this works fine on linux distros I tried it on)

    workaround:
    wget –base=”https://yodeler.com/folders have spaces/” -i filelist.txt

    where filelist.txt just contains the list of individual files in that web folder

    this seemed to work for me…
