The meta-owned app, WhatsApp rolls out kept messages feature for the latest WhatsApp update 2.23.4.10. WhatsApp is rolling out a new update that allows users to keep messages in the new section called kept messages. Read along to find out more about this new update.
According to WABetaInfo, the new section called kept messages will appear within the chat info. It will come in handy when someone keeps a disappearing message as it will no longer disappear from the chat after its expiration, but every user will be in control over those messages as they can be deleted at any time. All messages will be listed in this section, so everyone in the conversation can easily find them in the future.
Additionally, once it is possible to keep messages from disappearing, the ability to mark messages as starred and the starred section within the chat will be removed for disappearing chats as there will be no meaning to keep those messages in case they are going to disappear.
Note that at this moment, it is not possible to keep any disappearing messages as this new feature will be available in future updates.
