WhatsApp rolling out description for forwarded messages in order to enhance the user experience for iOS users. You will be able to add a description to forwarded messages to provide context and additional information. WhatsApp has submitted this new update, bringing the version up to 184.108.40.206.
With the latest update on WhatsApp, users will be able to add their own descriptions to their forwarded messages or media. After removing the existing captions from the forwarded media, a new description will be sent as a separate message. Like this, everyone in the conversation will know it doesn’t belong to the original message.
This new feature will help users better understand the content they receive and make more informed decisions about what they choose to share with their contacts. It provides additional context and clarity to the forwarded media or messages. Similar to the recent additions to WhatsApp, such as the sticker maker tool or the new security feature that allows device verification and automatic security codes, the latest addition is expected to be well received.
“In our opinion, this feature can help reduce misunderstandings and misinterpretations, and make it easier for others to understand what the media is about.” Says WABetaInfo.
Users can get access to this ability after installing the latest update of WhatsApp beta for iOS. The feature will also be rolling out for more beta users over the coming days.
