WhatsApp is working on voice note transcription feature for iOS. It will be something new for users as it will save them from those lengthy voice messages. Read along to find out everything about this latest feature.
According to WABetaInfo, in September 2021, WhatsApp was developing the voice note transcription feature but for some reason, it never was executed. Now, the good news is WhatsApp again is developing an introduction screen to explain when the transcription is not available: transcripts are available when no words are recognized in the voice note or are set in a different language. WABetainfo got this info from the new WhatsApp Beta update named iOS 23.3.0.73.
These transcriptions are always performed locally on the device by downloading relevant language packs and are never shared with WhatsApp or Apple, meaning you will be the only one who can listen to the content of your voice note.
Additionally, this update also provides a fix for those users who were experiencing an issue when sending documents.
