According to WABetaInfo, “WhatsApp has recently released a new update for the Android beta app that brings a split view feature to the tablet version of the app. This new feature is a game-changer for users as it optimizes the interface for tablets, it provides a better experience on a larger screen, and users can now simultaneously view and use two different sections of the app side by side on their tablet screen.”

It is true that in the past, WhatsApp was not optimized for Android tablets which is why tablet users had to rely on some workarounds in order to use it on their tablets. However, WhatsApp now is rolling out a little changed interface by introducing a split view to the tablet version.

The latest beta version of WhatsApp for Android has now introduced a split view feature that improves the user’s experience with the app. With this update, the chat list will always be visible when opening a chat as previously opening the chat on a tablet version used to take up the entire screen, but fortunately, this issue has been solved now.

The split view is available within calls and status tabs to make it easier for you to multi-task within the app. This feature is undoubtedly more useful for the chats section. Users can now easily switch between conversations without losing a track of their ongoing conversation. Switch to different conversations at the same time!

In addition, this ability makes it way easier to manage or organize chats because it is possible to scroll though the list of conversations in order to find a specific contact or something else without having to exit the current chat.
