WABetaInfo announced that WhatsApp was releasing a new section within the chat info as kept messages, where all those kept messages would have been listed so users can find them easily. Thanks to this feature, it is possible to prevent the expiration of certain disappearing messages by using the Keep action. All your kept messages will be marked by using a bookmark icon within the chat bubble. This feature is available on iOS this week but in case you don’t have this option, don’t stress out as this feature will be widely rolled out to more in the coming days.
Although this can be an amazing way to save your important messages from disappearing, note that there can be some limits in keeping your old messages from disappearing. For instance, you might be unable to keep messages from disappearing send 50 days ago. The time limit can vary from 20 to 30 days.
