According to a press release by Snapchat on February 27, 2023, the company stated, “Today we’re launching My AI, a new chatbot running the latest version of OpenAI’s GPT technology that we’ve customized for Snapchat.” They further added, “My AI is available as an experimental feature for Snapchat+ subscribers, rolling out this week. “ explaining that the feature will be available to users who Snapchat Plus subscribers who pay $3.99 a month.

Even though it is named My AI, you are essentially talking to ChatGPT, so the new feature will do everything that ChatGPT can, but the UI will be of Snapchat. So, you can ask MY AI to suggest recipes, write a decent reply to somebody you are angry with but do not want to show you are angry, and tell you things that you can write in your snaps when you have no idea how to make the black image that you are sending as a snap interesting, and a lot more.

In the press release, Snapchat also stated, “While My AI is designed to avoid biased, incorrect, harmful, or misleading information, mistakes may occur. Please press and hold on any message from My AI to submit feedback.” Doing this, Snapchat wishes to improve its My AI feature making it more accurate and improving the user experience.
