Many Microsoft Outlook users took to social media platforms to share that their Microsoft Outlook inbox was receiving multiple junk emails. The junk emails are usually transferred directly to the Spam folder on Outlook. Social media platforms were swamped with complaints that Microsoft Outlook users receive junk emails in inbox which caused a lot of confusion.
Online creator and Twitter user Zac Bowden took the platform to share a screenshot of his Outlook inbox to show how junk emails were crowded in the folder. Along with the picture, Bowden wrote, “I’m so close to quitting Outlook lol. The amount of junk mail I’m getting these days is absurd.” Many more users joined the thread to express that they were having the same issue.

So far, Microsoft has not responded to the issue, and it is not clear what caused this error with their application. Outlook is used around the world by users for personal and professional purposes. Therefore, issues like this can cause great inconvenience among users. In the posts shared by users on different social media platforms, the disappointment and confusion were clear. Many users, like Bowden, also expressed that they were willing to leave Outlook.

Since Microsoft is yet to respond to the issue, and if you are still getting spam messages in your inbox, you should consider turning off push notifications for the Outlook application. If you don’t know, follow these steps.
1. Open Settings on your phone.
2. Now, go to Apps.
3. Here, open the Outlook app.
4. Now, tap on Notifications.
5. Turn off the toggle for All Outlook notifications.
Microsoft Outlook users receive junk emails in Inbox throughout the day on Monday, 20 February 2023. At this point, no one knows exactly what caused the issue and an explanation is expected from Microsoft soon. But Microsoft Service status page shows that the issue has been resolved.
