In response to growing demand from businesses for secure and customizable chat solutions, OpenAI ChatGPT has announced the launch of its new Business Subscription Plans. With this new offering, businesses can enjoy access to a range of premium features designed to streamline communication and collaboration, including the ability to turn off chat history for added security and privacy. This development marks a major step forward for ChatGPT as it continues to innovate and evolve to meet the needs of its customers.
It is to note and also you might have noticed while using the ChatGPT that it keeps track of the conversations. The reason given by the company was that it would improve its models and help the OpenAI train them better. But with the launch of the ability to turn off chat history, Chats with disabled history won’t be used to train models or appear in the history sidebar. This option can be put to use in the following ways:
Step 1: Click on your name that appears in the bottom left corner.
Step 2: Click on Settings.
Step 3: Toggle off Chat History and Training.
This development was quite necessary as some people do like their data not to be shared even if it is for good. Moreover, since the time of the launch of GPT-4 the amount of focus and sincerity shown by the ChatGPT team is quite amazing. This was also evident from the point of time when some users were able to see other users’ conversation titles. The OpenAI team took timely action and also asked for a sincere apology to the ChatGPT community.
Also, ChatGPT is currently working on a ChatGPT Business subscription along with the ability to turn off chat history targeted towards professionals who require greater control over their data, as well as enterprises who aim to manage their end users. The API’s data usage policies will be followed by ChatGPT Business, which implies that users’ data won’t be employed to train models by default. ChatGPT Business is expected to be launched in the near future.
